The Hard Work

‘Work hard!’
That’s all we remember being told.
That’s the tune of the lips of the old.
The sweat and dirt, like debt we must honour,
The aching in our shrunken calves and femur
The pounding in our chests,
The thrill of making another pile of money.
All these, again and again, like pests
Scare us back ontomoney mono-cycle of life
To work one last time.

A trip to Abandze, Ghana

On one of the organised photowalk tour trips a few months ago, we made a trip to Abandze. Abandze is a small town in the central region of Ghana. Abandze grew around the Dutch Fort Armstedam established in 1958 and later rebuilt by the British in 1645. The people of Abandze are mostly fisher men and women. I share with you a few visuals of the Abandze and its people .
